Our Terms

Lessons are during school term time only.

 

Fees are invoiced on a per term basis (in the same way fees are invoiced at gymnastics, ballet,
football and private schools).

The term will be invoiced before the start of the term. Payment is required within 14 days of
invoice/email date.

A commitment to lessons is a commitment to the whole term. Just like other commitments (ballet,
gymnastics etc), missed lessons will be chargeable.

Any fees not paid by the due date will incur an immediate $20 administration fee. In addition, any fees not paid within the term they were invoiced for will also incur late payment interest of 6% per annum, charged monthly from the last Friday of the term the fee was for.

​Whenever possible lessons will be in-person. If in-person lessons are not possible, lessons will be provided online. Please refer to “Contingencies – Online Lessons”.

Completion of our Registration form is required for any and all activities a student would like to join but is not required each term. 

 

Please note:  A completed Registration form is only required when a student starts an activity and at the beginning of each calendar year.  Once a student has Registered and started their activity, that registration is valid until we receive written notification that the student is no longer going to continue.  Written notification that a student is no longer continuing needs to be received by us before the second to last week of the student's last term with us.  Please also note: As aforementioned, a commitment to lessons or an activity is a commitment to a whole term.  Therefore, if a student starts a term, their commitment is to the entire term whether they attend their lessons or activity or not.

Missed Lessons​

If 24 hours or more advance notice is given for a student being absent from their lesson, the missed lesson may sometimes be able to be “caught up”. These catchups are based on the teacher's availability and discretion and are only valid during the same term as the absence. Catchup lessons are ONLY offered if we receive 24 hours or more notice of a student absence.  Advance notice of an absence is important as it means we can reallocate that time to another student needing a catchup.  This way, all student's have a better chance of receiving a catchup for a missed lesson. Please also note that there will be a maximum of two catchup lessons each term. 

 

Please note the above details re Missed Lessons are the case for ALL private lesson students at ALL locations.  Please also note the above is the case regardless of the reason for absence - including school trips, school assessments and exams.  It is the student/parent responsibility to notify us in advance.

If your teacher is unable to attend a lesson, that lesson will either be caught up that term.  In some instances, Jonathan or I will teach on the other's behalf.  If we have not been able to do a catchup, it will deducted from the following term’s invoice.

Please note, any catchups due to Jonathan and I being absent are prioritised before any student absences. Further, if during a term a student has missed a lesson, and we have already done a “catchup” lesson for that student absence, but subsequently Jonathan or myself are absent for a lesson, the “catchup” lesson will be reallocated to Jonathan’s or my absence.  Please also note, any catchups need to be in the same term as the student absence.  Ie.  Catchups for student absences will not be carried over to a subsequent term.
