Glee Club for Teenagers

Rangiora Glee Club (Teenagers) is vocal group, pop choir for teenagers right here in North Canterbury.

It is a great opportunity to sing some amazing music with other like-minded youngsters and along the way make fabulous friends: from Hamilton (the Musical!) to Les Misérables, from Adele to Ed Sheeran, John Legend to the Beatles, from P!nk to Elton John.

In addition to having lots of fun, youngsters will also learn vocal skills and technique from the best.  And if past experiences are anything to go by, they may well find their tribe and make lifelong friends. They will be opportunities to perform (for those who want to). They will also learn how to follow along with the actual music! (Don’t stress – it’s not that hard).
Jonathan has a wealth of experience in this realm – he has been running Glee Clubs for our students and in schools here and in Australia since 2005. Jonathan writes special arrangements of the songs for the voices in the room – to be the perfect key for youngsters’ shorter, untoned, vulnerable vocal cords. All experience levels welcomed although as a minimum they will need to be able to sing in tune. *wink emoji*

There will be opportunities for the group to perform. Not everyone will want to participate in performance – and that is absolutely fine! – but for those that do wish to perform, the opportunity is there. 

WHO - 13 upwards

NB.  Some 13yos may prefer the Glee Youth group.  And some older teens may prefer the Glee Adults group.  Please give us to call to talk through what may be best for your human. ​

NB.  There are limited spaces in this group.

ATTENDANCE - Ideally someone signing up to Glee Club will do the full year - however payment is required before each term. This will provide continuity, and a foundation of repertoire and skill. It also gives us freedom to plan performances with confidence.

WHEN - Glee Club runs during school terms. There will be between 7 and 10 rehearsals each term.

WHERE 9 Rymore Terrace, Fernside. 

NB.  Rymore Tce is a new, private, deadend road.  Unfortunately, as it is new, Google Maps is a bit confused about where exactly it is!  So, rather than relying on Google Maps, Rymore Tce is off Oxford Rangiora Road between Boundary Road and Hayfield Tce.

COST $190.00 (including GST) per term each student.   

Payment required before the start of each term.  Payment secures you a spot.
